Local Horror Authors Open Halloween Season with Signing

MOORE, OKLA. – Two of the metro’s best-known, and scariest, horror authors will pair up for a Halloween season book signing at the local Books-a-Million store on Oct. 22.

Steven E. Wedel, of Moore, is best known for his series of werewolf stories, many of which take place in Oklahoma. One of his books, Murdered by Human Wolves, was recognized in the most recent edition of The Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror. The book is a fictionalized account of the 1917 death of Katherine Cross in Konawa, Okla. Wedel’s most recent book is Call to the Hunt, a collection of werewolf-themed short stories. His other published books include Shara, Darkscapes and Seven Days in Benevolence.

Craig Wolf, of Oklahoma City, is the author of a short story collection, Pressure Points. He released the novel Trespass earlier this year to favorable reviews. His fiction has appeared in such publications as Jackhammer, Deadbolt, Raven Electrick, and Flashshot, as well as international publications, such as the Canadian anthology Transversions and the Australian publication Shadowed Realms.

Wedel and Wolf will be signing from 3-5 p.m. Oct. 22 at Books-a-Million, 2300 W. Memorial Road. For more information, call the store at (405) 748-4999.
